Apeks makes an 8l (18lb) wing, the WTX-D18 which is expensive but should be available in Europe. I've seen 6l (14lb) wings in the past, but can't seem to find anyone who still offers them.

not knowing your projected dive profile/need with this pony tank, of course.... but I'm assuming shallow dives....such as cleaning the bottom of a boat, or work in a pool.... so I'm wondering why you couldn't just go old-school. No BC

maybe something like this.

or

I picked up something similar to these, a plastic harness/plate years ago somewhere...a garage sale maybe and I've used it a few times with a 30 CF pony in my pool, and no BC. I wouldn't hesitate to go on a shallow dive with it in easy conditions

I'm reminded of a charter boat dive I made a long time ago somewhere in South FL. It was when I was still in the "make-it-complicated" stage of diving. Schlepping all sorts of extra stuff onto the boat in my gear bag in the name of save-a-dive with spare parts, extra stuff...diving with all sorts of needless stuff clipped to my BC.

Anyway, it was I think the second dive on a 2-tank charter trip...so a relatively shallow reef dive. The boat captain decided to jump in and join the dive. I'm down there poking around somewhere under the boat, probably 30-60 ft deep on a reef when I spotted him...and noticed that his BC, a very old, faded, and ragged looking jacket style.... his corrugated hose was dangling...and there was no low pressure inflator even attached. Just an open-ended corrugated hose!

That was I think what opened my eyes to the idea of keeping it simple. I still don't exactly, but I do think twice a little more before bringing along gear.

I use it in small Swiss Rivers, depth about 10m, sometimes heavy current.

I will not dive without wing. And I want a backmounted wing, standard config.

@Agro,

My Vintage Double Hose (VDH) 23# Argonaut singles wing works even with an Luxfer Alum 63, OMS/Faber LP46, or Faber LP50. Maybe a VDH 19# would work for you with your 30 cu ft cylinder. These VDH wings are no longer being manufactured, but they do turn up on the used market from time to time.

Thank you but I will buy a new wing.

30lbs Tauchen Schnorcheln BCD Auftrieb Donut Flügel Einzeltank BCD Auftriebskompensator Tech Zylinder Freitauchen Sicherheitsausrüstung - AliExpress 18 Happy divers wing looks good but 30 lbs seems to be quite large.

Tauch-Auftriebskompensator, BCD-Donut, 23 Pfund Flügel, nur für Rückmontage, leichte Auftriebsausrüstung, Aufblasgerät - AliExpress 18 23 lbs might be better.

But I do want a "pull valve" (how do you call it in english?). I pull the whole inflator, the shoulder valve blows off. I have a Dive Rite inflator including corrugated hose and "pull valve" laying around here. I could attach it but I am afraid threads are not the same. Any experiences about that?

More chances that threads are same. Less chances that your Dive Rite inflator is old and with custom thread.
I've have Dive Rite Rec Wing, original inflator is replaced with chinese one. Threads are same.
