I've been working on optimizing my weighting and trim, and am down to 8 lbs.--distributed with 2 lbs. on each of the two detachable pockets on my BCD, and 2 lbs. on each of two trim pockets on the top cam band of the BCD.

I've been using XS scuba trim weight pockets on the top cam band that can hold up to 5 lbs. each. My problem is that the 2 lb. weights are very loose- and flop around- in those pockets. A 1 lb. solid weight might even slip through the gaps at the bottom of the pocket.

I've been looking for smaller trim weight pockets for the cam band and haven't been able to find much. The smallest I've been able to find are the Dive-Rite "travel weight pocket", and the Golem Gear "G-weight trim weight pocket". Is there anything else out there with a smaller form factor?

The Halcyon weight pockets I have on my cam bands are pretty small. A 3 lb soft weight just fits. But cheap they are not ($49 at DRIS).

+1 for DGX pocket: by my definition of perfect, perfect fit for a hard 4lb, 2lb soft would probably be near-perfect too.

I like these too--I like having the Fastex buckle backing up the Velcro. They'll hold a 5 lb hard weight if you need that much.

Yes, that buckle is nice. I've gotten a 4 lb hard weight into them without issue. I think they're rated for 5 lbs.

I've got the scubapro ones on my cam band, I like them. A little bit cheaper than the Halcyon.

I've only used up to a 3lb in them, but plenty of room

I don't know if you have Tractor Supply stores in your area, but they have $5 cell phone cases with elastic sides that hug the weights and hold them snug. There is a Velcro top flap, but it is not needed. The case has a clip on belt clip, but it completely surrounds a 2 inch belt so there's is no way for it to slip off. They actually take some work to remove. I picked up a couple to set up a new backplate and wing and they work great. 15 dives in Roatan and no issues. I'm also a DGX fan, but since I was setting a new wing up, this made it easy to move weight around if needed.

Those trim weights are sideways...they open parallel with the band.

That doesnt worry you? I personally worry about them on the surface. If you do a backroll off a boat they would be facing down when you hit the water.
