Typically, I look over my reef images for things I missed during the dive....did not see this tiny little guy until I did a large print of this image (for the anemone).

Here is the whole image (down sized)

And with the image turned around, and cropped down:

Sorry for not having a better image, but did not even know it was there.

Oh, location... off shore of Destin Florida two weeks ago.

The anemone, by the way is a new species to me, and there were two of them. And the shrimp all over the area are the first shimp I have seen since the gulf spill got to the area.

I assume some sort of crab...but some shrimp from the front could look like that...and what the heck is that "smile"?

What we here (= more south) see under and around anemones are mostly Banded Clinging Crabs. And of course all kinds of shrimp.
Note: this hint is more based upon the location than visual ID!

And why not smile when your picture is taken? :)

Interesting... is about the right size, and does have some similarities..except for it being in the wrong location.. oh, and in around 90 ft of water. Those appear to be Sponge peppermint shrimp near it... which is also not known to be up here, or in deep water...so my first guess would it is one or some close relative of one with very different color.. thanks.

Oh, and your crabs don't seem to smile.

The "crab" has the claws we see here in the pacific on a squat lobster.
See for example,

and:

(scroll down to the 02 March entry for the photo)

Don't know if there are squat lobster in FL, but perhaps?

The anemones pictured are:
Club-tipped Anemone (Telmatactis americana)
and
Light bulb anemone (order Actinaria)
as yet incompletely described
both are in the Humann/Deloach "Reef Creature" book.
