Hi all;

I just got a new pair of OMS slipstream with the spring strap, size XL for both.

I use 10,5 size for tennis shoes so I would think that the size of the fins should work. However I feel the stap quite tight when I am standing and very hard to walk on the boat with those fins. In the water while horizontal it should be OK. I dive wet and use rather thin boots.

For you guys that have used this type of fins (jets, turtle, etc) with spring straps, do you also experience the same?

Thanks;

I don't but I'm a size 12 in tennis shoes and have the exact same fin. They do have different length spring straps...maybe you got a shorter pair?

You can get longer springs as stated before. Another couple idea is to get better boots. Personally I always wear a boot that is good for walking on rocks. Them little things that inhabit the bottom of the water that sting ain't gonna get me. hahaha

You could try stretching the springs, but if they are any good, that won't do much.

Thank guys for the feed back.

The springs are the longest (XL) that is what surprises me. I might buy a set of XS Scuba spings.

huh thats wierd. Mine are Manta, LG/XL size 9-12 if that helps. Guess they are all diff.

That the size I ordered...my feet must be getting bigger....

I was wondering about spring straps and if they are a good investment. Any advantages to using them or any downside to them?:confused:

Lot of advantages, no disadvantages that I am aware of.

They don't break. Single hand on and off. Won't wear out anywhere near as fast as stock straps. Stand up to a whole lot of abuse.

Need more? :D

I'd ask OMS to replace them. Doesn't sound right...??
