Just wondering how i can keep a soft lead pouch belt from sliding down from my hips to my knees? It fine as long as Im not vertical. I should also add that I'm 5'10" and about 240#.

Integrated weight BC or get trained on wearing suspenders.

Grow a butt. :D
Sorry, I couldn't resist that one.

Stay horizontal. Also, tighten your weight belt at the beginning of your dive.

Re-tighten your weight belt as you descend. Doing so in the horizonal position. Judging from your height and weight though I would have to agree on the integrated weights.

I do have integrated weights in my bcd( 20 pounds) but id like to put an additional 8-10 on a belt to take some off of the bcd. I really dont want to turn this into a " you're wearing too much weight" thread.

I use the DUI Classic weight harness for cold water. I also switched to a SS BP. For warm water I'm switching to cam band pockets. Those together with my BP puts everything on my back.

Of course, with my TransPac everything went in the weight pockets.

If you want to split weight always use the weight harness. I do that sometimes even though it is a bit bulky for 4# - 10#.

Most of the people I've talked to who have the problem have found that tightening the weight belt isn't a satisfactory solution. I'm sure you've found the same thing.

Ahh a floater are we? Try the harness it is probably your best bet. Thats an awfully lot of weight for integrated weights. Just be sure you and your buddy understand the best way to ditch the weight if necessary.
