I am totally in agreement with all of you. I am an ethical person and I don't want to take advantage of my LDS guy, nor would I advocate it. My point was that I want to avoid doing that, and that's why I'd like to figure out this absentee sizing thing. For the local service and the mfr's warranty I would consider biting the bullet and paying a higher price to try-and-buy locally. But because money's tight I may not be able to.

cheers,

Billy S.

Well, on a bc, I'd go to my lds and see if they could match or come close. Unless, you're buying Scubapro, they probably can. And the convenience and service of the LDS are worth something--not double the cost, but something.
