Sites near Dallas....

Does anyone know if the lakes surrounding Dallas are diveable? Lakes such as Joe Pool, Grapevine Lake, Ray Roberts, etc.....

I'm looking for a dive site that's not too far away from the Metroplex.

Welcome to the Swamp.....

All of the above named sites are really not good for general scuba diving....trust me on this one!

Clear Springs Scuba Park in Terrell is your best bet.

Lake Murray off I-35 just north of the Tx/Ok border is another nice dive spot.

Possum Kingdom Lake west of Weatherford is nice if you have access to a boat/pontoon.

Lake Fork again is not good diving (shallow/boats/fishing/very low vis).....Texoma does have a few area's that diving can be done....Eisenhower State Park one for....the beach area for entry/exit.
