Sipadan - need some advice please?

Hi

I'll be going to Borneo in August. SHould be fantastic and it'll be my wife's first chance to dive at a top destination.

Has anyone any recommendations about places to stay or centres to dive with? What would be the best sites to visit while we're there?

Is it a lot better staying off the mainland as opposed to in Sempurna?

Ermm, there are so many threads about Sipadan dive operators and whether or not better to stay in Semporna or the islands. Try to search for these threads under "Sipadan" or "Semporna"

I stayed with Borneo Divers on Mabul Island. I have nothing but good things to say about that operation. Two dives on Sipidan in the morning and nice diving on Mabul or Kapalai Island in the afternoon.

i've booked with borneo divers for march 2007, they have a good operation.. sipadan dive centre is also recommended, very nice resort..!
