I am kinda new at photos under water. I have a tg4 with a sea and sea strobe and want to be able to take stills and video. I have been taking photos underwater for about 3 years). I am looking at adding a big blue 25000 video light to my set up (i have read the thread stating that bb is over rated but I am not a math expert so some ones explanation kinda makes my eyes roll back). My question is can I get good vids with just one light? I know there will be some trade off but I love the strobe for individual shots and hope to add a video light for my vids. I am on a budget and really can't afford 2 video light and one strobe (and them there is task loading.....) . Any advice is appreciated. Bill

might want to look at something smaller if your on a budget. that light is very heavy and you will need the large float arms to get it close to neutral, and if you only get one it will not balance well.

We offer a complete rig with tray, adjustable arms and two wide angle lights with rechargeable batteries for a very competitive price. The rig is modular, so you can add and subtract components as you see fit. Two lights does have an advantage.

what @pinshootr said. Even with what that light actually puts out, it's a ton of light and you will have a lot of either shadowing and physical rig balance problems depending on how far away from the sensor you put it *farther away is better*, or backscatter problems if you keep it closer to the sensor.

I'd get a pair of something smaller that amounts to roughly the same amount of light which will give you better quality both in video and in usability

Just an fyi on the BB lights the prices you see on the internet are list prices. The dealers can sell them for whatever they want. You should be able to buy them at 25-30% of the internet prices if you actually call the dealer. The BB website also has some closeouts etc.

Leisure pro had a close out sale for $800....I bought the last one
