I've already answered your question, but apparently you need repetition. One more time; There are no meaningful advantages to donuts over horseshoes. There is also no meaningful advantages of horseshoes over donuts. They are effectively equal in terms of performance.

We offer both. We explain both types to prospective buyers. The buyer has a choice. If I considered one design to be distinctly superior I'd sell only that one.

What I always found interesting is that the majority of singles wings on the market are donut wings with zipper access to the bladder: Halcyon, Hollis, Oxycheq, Golem, etc. However, you do not offer this product. You offer either a horseshoe with an accessible bladder or a donut with a non-accessible bladder. Why?

Also, I guess you missed my other post, but why not make a rubber bumper to run around the perimeter of the plate to reduce the likelihood of pinch flats?

I brought up the single layer wing because some people do want it.

Unless they changed the design of the wing, Apeks sells a single-walled donut wing. The wing used on Zeagle's Express Tech is also single walled.

You could try installing some split hose edge protectors onto your own plates, if you really want to try that out.
That would serve as "bumper protectors"

I thought of using silicon or rubber tubing but the question is how to attach it. On plates with holes all around it (i.e. OMS) you could use zip ties but most plates are not like that. I am sure there is some sort of rubber or plastic channel that would work.

If I was designing the horseshoe wings today I'd consider removing the zipper. The short zipper in a horseshoe wing adds little bulk, compared to the 360 separating zipper typical of donut wings, but it also adds very little utility. We also never had a zipperless wing suffer any zipper issues, less can be more.......

While a few divers do actually repair their bladders, the vast majority return their wings either to their dealer (very few of which want to do repairs or are qualified to do so) or they return their wing to us. This is true of both zippered horseshoe wings and sewn shut Torus wings. Why? Because most divers don't want to do repairs, don't have the BC wrenches, and don't know how to reassemble the fittings. In addition if a wing has suffered an impact sufficient to damage the bladder it is a pretty good idea to have the balance of the wing tested for other damage, cracked fittings etc. That's some best done at the factory.

That might help, but nothing works better than removing your wing from your plate for transport and storage. That's a key feature of the DSS design.
