Ah, now we seem to be on the right forum.

August is the low season for Similan Islands. There ARE a few operators running trips. The weather can be good, can be bad, can be real bad. Normally good, but it's the risk factor that means most boats do not run. I have been in August and it was great. But do not expect calm seas and all day sunshine at this time of year....

To avoid any possible disapointments try and postpone your Liveaboard cruise to mid October onwards. August is not really the time to go to The Similans. Granted there might be a lucky break with the conditions but then again who knows what the weather will be like then? Worst case scenario: you book a cruise, plan your holiday accordingly and arrive to find that the cruise has been cancelled at the last minute due to poor conditions or lack of other guests.
