I recently fitted replacement Sitech silicone seals in my Scubapro trilaminate drysuit and have been getting wet. I found a tiny hole in the neck seal. I researched repair methods, but quickly came to the conclusion that replacing it was the most cost effective solution.

Anyway in my research I found that this glue could be used - Sil-Poxy™ Product Information, but it is expensive. I am considering purchasing a tube for future possible repairs (my dive buddy has the same seals). If I do get some I want to fix the hole in my existing seal, so I have it as a spare, but I have no silicone to patch it with (I didn't need to trim it). I could just use the old neck seal as my source of silicone patches, but that seems a waste and I lose the option of a spare. The previous neck seal I replaced was latex, and I am not sure I could use that to pact the silicone

Any idea where I can purchase a sheet of silicone rubber to use as a source of patches?

Are spare neck seals so cost prohibitive that you can't just buy 2 and keep the 2nd as a spare?

I have 3 wrist seals and 2 neck seals as spares for my dry suit in case me, or a dive buddy end up tearing a seal on a boat. Has saved a few dives so far.

Spares are good and I will get some. But also, throwing out a neck seal for one small hole would seem wasteful to me if it can be repaired easily enough

McMaster Carr

You can try to cover it with silicone rubber glue. We can buy 45G package of this glue for $1. It can be used many times for pinhole-sized holes.

WOudl you have a link to the glue online? $1 for 45g sounds great, but I need to source it in Ireland :)

Silicone is exceptionally difficult to glue and while it may be technically possible, you are better off replacing it.

I used this brand of glue, and chose 705 transparent color. I don't know if you can buy it there. First clean the surface with alcohol or detergent, blow dry, and then cover and apply it (you can also wait for the glue to dry and apply it multiple times to increase the thickness)

Note: Transparent glue is very fluid, you need to keep the sleeve seal or collar seal as flat as possible, otherwise it will flow everywhere
Good luck!

Silicone glue and silicone items are easy to bond, and you don't even need to deep clean the surface. My only concern is durability, and I think holes that are too big are not suitable for repair, such as large lacerations, but it's cheap and you won't lose anything even if the repair is not durable. Once you successfully save your collar seal, the cost performance is still very high.
