Signature half vannished?

Okay, looks like the mods have their hands full, but I am stymied here. My sig line contains a quote at the bottom. At least it did. I replied to a post this morning, and suddenly the quote disappeared from my sig. The rest of the sig was still there, just the quote has gone missing.

I went to user CP to edit sig, but the quote still shows there. I tried editing a post to not show sig, then baack to show sig (why? I don't really know! ). Still missing. How can this be fixed?

Also noted, it shows up in preview, but not in the post (it did yesterday).

We've limited the available space to approx. 4 lines.

It's also noted on the Edit Signature page.

Please limit to 4 (blank) lines as per the TOS. The preview does not reflect the actual space available.

That was going on b4 the big crash of 2007....you have to cram it all together now....
