I just read the Sarasota news on-line and read an article
about the bacteria problem they are having. Is it still unsafe to swim there? Just wondering. I leave for Sarasota tonight and if that is the case may just avoid there and go to Venice
beach instead.

Thanks!

CBulla,
Oh, I love going to Venice, but also love going to Siesta Key beach.
Hey, any good places to eat around Venice besides Sharky's?

Oh God, not again!

Scubajen, none that I know of. Also, was that the herald-tribune? If so, I missed it. I've gotten in the habit of checking it recently :l:

Yes ReefGuy, the article was from the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

Hey, thanks for your post on my SeaWorld question. I wished I lived in Florida year-round so I could get an annual membership. I can't wait to go! It has been years since I was there last.

NP. BTW, the article is on how frequently that bacteria has been high (cooincidently, it looks like the last occurance was around two weeks ago - when a bunch of us were diving).

Sea World is great, it's definately my favorite. I love to eat at sharks with a "poolside table", and I can sit and just stare at the bar for hours.
