Soapfish are wierd looking as is, but this one had multiple nodules under its skin, and appeared to be in pretty bad shape. Any ideas on what is going on? Photographed in Bonaire, Bari reef

Maybe the fish has a genetic defect where the soap it secretes is not antibacterial, but just deodorizing.

Hey Exit 131, NJ, retransplanted Exit 58 here....
