I was cut open to have bypass done on my leg. they made a 24 inch cut from the top of my leg to the foot. That happend on 05/05/06 I was told this week that I would not be able to get back in the water until the end of june!!!!!! the only thing that I can say is that my dive on the 06/24/06 is a afternoon trip with Olympus in Morehead city. I am going back in Aug for a days of diveing. This sitting around and waiting is driveing me nuts. Just had to vent thanks for reading.

Major ouch. Get well and wet soon.

Man, that's harsh... I'd give you a hug, but I'm going diving....j/k

Involuntary surface intervals suck... I'm on one too... hope you're better soon!

ow

that sounds painful, man

hang in there... follow instructions .... you want to do this right the first
time around

I'm in the same boat with my shoulder. It sucks huh? So far I have:

New Transpac:
Torn down to the bones.
Reassembled and adjusted
Mounted my shears and slate pouch on right shoulder
Mounted zipper pouch on waste strap
Moved and adjusted all 'D' rings
Mounted Weight pouches
Adjusted all straps for comfort
Mounted and and inspected wing
Mounted new heavy duty retractor for guages

Fins:
Built new spring straps for me
Built new spring straps for wifey

Tanks:
Marked and labeled both new tanks

Regs:
Heated and molded new Sea Quest mouthpiece
Moved old Sea Quest mouthpics to snorkle

Misc:
Read every dive mag I have
Played with new eRDP won as LDS door prize

Hopefully I can start diving again around the end of June/early July. Hang in there my friend. Good things come to those who wait.

I read the thread title and was gonna say,"quit hitting the bottle" but I guess that don't apply. I get to start diving finally after my severly cut finger incident very soon. So I feel your pain. Although, when you get the nerve it don't hurt much.

Thanks every one for all the kind words.

I know how you feel I just got done my Dive Master and had to turn down a chance to crew the Ol'Salty II last week. I miss all my diving friends and I miss the water.
