My current 3D printer can do hard plastic down to 25 micron accuracy.
Having unscrewed a few of these before I got 'creative' with modifying the nut, I don't think a plastic printed thin-wall socket would hold up. But....I do not have personal experience with the material or the process. I do know how damn hard it was to get the thing loose. Plastic....not sure.
 
It may be still interesting for some - I have followed the above method and this works. Just need a dremel and make a socket using the already present hole in the middle. I does not have to be big as the metal part is against a plastic so they wont stick together from rust. So like 2-2 millimeters and the hole should be sufficient enough.
