Theres a show on the history channel right now, with some dork named Josh, who is taken cave diving in a cenote by a supposed master cave diver, who puts josh in a spring with a blacked out mask, does a simple line drill, and then pronounces mean the master cave diver knows his stuff, to a certain point, his gear is rigged right, his kicks are precise and controlled, but I think thats kinda wreckless to take an inexperienced diver into a cenote. But it being TV, it all worked out well. Aside from the obvious safety flaws, it's been an enlighten ing show about the mayans and the cenotes.

Repeat after me, "It is only a TV show. It is only a TV show."

You don't see everything that goes on on the show and many things you do see are out of context and distorted to add value to the show FOR THE PRODUCERS.

There is really no way to know if people were properly trained or not from a TV show.
