I thought it'd be interesting to see everyone's best tooth they have found while diving in Venice. If you'd like, also include a short story about finding the tooth.

The best tooth I have found is a nearly perfect 4 3/4 inch megalodon tooth. I found it last year while diving with Florida West Scuba. On the second dive, I was the second person off the boat and jumped in, eager to find something nice. As I sunk down to the bottom, I noticed that the diver before me hadn't moved from the spot he landed yet and I almost dropped right on him. I quickly swam out of the way and got my self settled. I swam less than 10 feet and saw a large tooth sitting in plain sight. It was on top of sand and upside down completely exposed. I could not believe how lucky I was to have found the tooth because the first person to start swimming from the boat would have found it. The picture does not do this tooth justice. The only imperfections on the tooth is a tiny piece of missing enamel on the front. Some serrations are dull, but most are sharp and intact... even the tip! The tooth has a beautiful mix of black, gray, tan, and blueish-greenish colors throughout the crown. The bourlette is complete as well as the root.
