Actually, I'm taking credit where I shouldn't, my buddy found the dually. I found this '02 Tahoe about 20 ft from the dually (0-1 ft vis). The goodie bag was nothing, you should've seen the speargun though........

How in the heck did I miss this photo..... Nice melon

ScubaTexan:
I'm guessing serving in the Marines?

If he was serving when that pic was taken, they have really let up on the hair/facial hair standards since I was in.

he lists his occupation as "law enforcement officer"

hrmmmm, and what exactly was it you were doing there?

I spent 3 years on a DEA Task Force and wrapped up an over year long case involving three counrties. Jamaica, U.S. and Canada. We infitrated a ring bringing LARGE loads of Marijuana through Charlotte County (fl) and then transporting it to Canada through Detroit or New York. :eyebrow:

Anyway, We seized over 1,500 lbs. of Marijuana and Hash Oil with a street value of over 2 Million Dollars :11:

I flew the load back on a Coast Guard C-130 then assisted in a Controlled Delivery within Charlotte County to the Canadians. We were supposed to drive it up to Canada but they came here instead resulting in their arrest. :crafty:

We used GTMO as a staging area and stored the Evidence there a few days. I ended up staying there for about a month because of delays. And the diving there is FANTASTIC.......I'd go back in a Minute

(in the voice of Paul Harvey) and now you know.... the rest of the story

What a difference 35 years makes! My kids and I at their final PADI OW dive three weeks ago, and one of me at my YMCA Scuba Diver check out dive in 1970, in the same lake but 35 years apart.

The older photo looks more like 60 years ago.
Kids...we really did have color film forty years ago.

Hey, I didn't take the photo. Found it recently in my mom's estate, with a note on the date. If you think the black and white film dates the photo, check out the vintage gear! No BCD, no safe second regulator, no submersable tank pressure gauge and a primative "j" valve tank so you knew you were getting low on air when you ran out (and hopefully had not "bumped" the trip valve during the dive so you were on true zero!). Diving had a little extra sense of risk that way. Did teach you to plan your dive and pay attention to depth and bottom time! Also you had the choice of any color gear, as long as it was black. (See you added some color to your gear with the vest! Mine was yellow, and we were soon beginning to experiment with those vests for a primative form of buoyancy control.) We've come a LONG ways in 35 years!

Lousy picture, but it's all I had handy in digital format...
