posting this again, maybe I'll just post it in the 7107 islands thread:

1.) Manila -> Batangas City (~P160)
Go to the JAM liner bus station located EDSA cor. GMA Kamuning. (Can also take Tritam, but I don't know where it's located). Hop on the bus that says Batangas City/Batangas Pier (You're going the entire distance). First bus usually out 5am, and every bus leaves when there's enough passengers. I can't remember if it stops in Pasay.

Once at Batangas City Pier, go through the market to the PG terminal. It is easily found since it's the biggest building behind the market.

2.) Batangas City -> Puerto Galera ~P170 +P25 terminal fee.
I only know 3 options getting into PG (but I'm sure there's more):
* White Beach
* Sabang
* Mueller Pier (Town Proper)

You'll have to line up in the small and hectic terminal for a ticket. First set of boats usually leaves 7am. From each location you can catch a water taxi to the beach of your choice.

There are porters who ask where you're going and they'll tell you what vessel company to take.

Very simple to get to PG via public transpo. I've done it twice (round trips).

ya, everytime I go someplace new it's important to me that I understand how to get around. Plus doing some time with the Red Cross really helped me out around here.

Sorry Jag, I know it'll be easier if you hop on from Pasay...but I can't remember if it stops there cause that's the part I'm usually asleep during! :) I don't think it does though.

uhm i think Jag would still have to travel back north when he's already in the south. Just go to Alabang and catch a bus there. Check the bus if it says Batangas Pier (Calabarzon) straight to the port, this bus will not pass Sto. Tomas, Tanauan, Malvar and Lipa city. There's so many buses jamming up in that area :)

oh! so you mean there's no legit terminal... or meron? sorry ha, not too familiar with that alabang-under-the-bridge area

i think there is a terminal there is that what you mean?

Jag

Im not sure of the terminals, (because I usually pass the flyover hehe)
Just hop in any of the buses you see that has that signage, it's an advantage so you won't have to wait long for the bus to fill up with passengers.
