Divetech has much better shore diving than Sunset. First, it has two sites; one at Cobalt Coast, the other at Lighthouse Point. Both locations have dive shops, dunk tanks and easy entries. Second, the mini-wall at Cobalt Coast and Lighthouse Point is more vibrant, healthy and has a lot more critters and fish on it than I ever saw at Sunset.
Both Divetech and Sunset have more than one boat. I can't tell you exactly how many divers are typically on the boats -- I'm guessing between 10 to 14 -- but I have never felt crowded on any of them.
