Shot FX Fins hurt, need advice.

My girlfriend has the Aqua Lung Women's Collection, the Shot FX Fins. They hurt the anterior part of both feet. She is a US size 9 shoe. She bought the regular size fins based on Aqua Lungs sizing chart.

Small (>7), Regular (8-12), Large (13+)
*Women’s shoe size

She wears 5mm aqua lung women’s Ellie ergo boot. Size 9 women’s.

So per Aqua Lung’s sizing chart we have the correct sizes. In addition, those boots are compatible with those fins per Aqua Lung.

I circled the area in red that hurt. It’s the top of her foot, both feet hurt at that spot.

Other than returning them. Does anyone have some options?

Yes sir, all inserts and packaging was removed prior to use.
