Do you guys prefer a shorty or full suit when doing tropical places or FL?

Thinking of the 3mm shorty or 3mm(most of suit)/2mm(arm/leg) full suit

I prefer a 3/2 full. For me, the shorty just isn't quite enough when doing multiple dives in a day.

I don't use a shorty because they don't provide protection from things like fire coral or jelly fish.

I suspect they are slightly more comfortable, but at a potential cost that is now worth it.

As for overheating, I doubt that is much of an issue between a shorty and a full suit of the same thickness. And of course, with a wetsuit you can always crack the neck seal a bit to flush some water through.

I just can't think of a good reason to wear a shorty as my only suit.
