On our way to Sipadan, Borneo we had a week on Perhentian Island in July. Short impressions can be seen here, captured with a Canon HF 200 (yes they do still exist :) ) Deeper than 12 m was real "cloudy" at times.
If I should recommend one dive site it would be Sugar Ship Wreck
