Hi,

Could anyone suggest any good dive sites
near Peterborough? I know about Burleigh Falls and have been there (rather murky nowadays) but fun.

I have heard that Chandos Lake is quite nice and has a decent wall/drop off but have no idea where to go here.

Can any other recommendations be made for the Peterborough, Buckhorn, Lakefield area (lets say 30-45 minutes drive). Please provide detailed description of the
entry point and the conditions.

I am happy to dive for the underwater scenary (rock formations) and fish.

Thanks in advance.

Adam

You can try the bridge at Gannons Narrows - wait till boat traffic is down and use a flag. Always good there for lures and anchors.

We used to hit some of the colder lakes to the north of there - Jacks lake, Coon Lake etc. - some nice fish there.

If you want to do a day trip - go east to Kaladar - turn north and go to the provincial park up that way - I forget the name but it is on the map - really nice wall dive there right off the beach. Have to pay for parking in the park lot.

Not a lot but something to try anyway.

Bon Echo Park I think is what you are referring too.
