Coming to Florida Monday 11-2-15 and want to know if there is any good places to shore dive within an hour or so of Jacksonville.

I lived in Jax many years, not much shore diving off the beach or the St. John's River.
Head inland towards our many springs: Ginnie Springs, Blue Grotto, Devils' Den, Rainbow River.
All are within a couple hours (or so) for a day of diving.

Or...If you can handle driving about 4 hours to "BHB" (Blue Heron Bridge), you can get a dive in.
Add about one hour to Broward shore diving sites.
There is also the possibility of catching a break in Vero Beach, but it is very iffy.
Contact Scubaboard member "Sheeper" for local advice on that.

Misses the fall leaves in Maggie Valley.

Thanks we are heading to DEMA and just thought about catching a shore dive on the way down. We are gonna hit a bunch of the other places during the week.

Starts at Vero Beach 3 hours S,although there are "jetty jumpers" as far north as Fernandina. They spearfish in the 5' to 20'vis.
The parks along A1A from Vero to Ft Pierce are pretty convenient.
Another possibility is to dive for fossils/artifacts in the local rivers particularly the St. Mary's in 6 to 18inch vis 30 feet down.
