I plan to buy some dive stuff online from this source called "scubadirect" who deals via ebay... and just out of curiosity, has anyone bought anything from the above mentioned source?? I would love to hear your experiences, both good and bad.

Many thanks.

p/s: recommendations of reliable online sale of dive gear is much appreciated.

Obviously you have made no attempt to search these forums because there have been dozens if not hundreds of threads on this issue. Buying online can save you a lot of money but use due diligence and understand the pros and cons. If you do, why go with some unheard of name? Certain vendors have established a well-deserved following here and are authorized dealers for the brands they sell online.

Certain brands are better suited for online sales than others. Looking at your username, ScubaPro is one of the brands least suitable for online sales because they aggressively prohibit their dealers from selling online.

did you even read his question?

he's asking about a specific vendor, and would like to know if we've had any experiences with that vendor, or about other vendors we've had good experiences with

Scubapro_Freak, i don't know anything about that specific site, but i find ScubaToys.com to be a great on-line vendor

i've also had a lot of luck with LeisurePro ... i've never had a problem and their stuff has come in fast and as advertised

As for ebay and scubadirect

99.7% with near 3000 sales is quite trusted for an ebayer. Cant always get 100% becuasue something usually goes wrong and you end up with a disappointed buyer or seller (been there done that). I

You are in Australia and I find Scubadirects prices no better than LDS prices here in the states but I hear gear is quite expensive in your area.

This also negates my other post then. Darn I should have looked at your profile sooner.

As I mentiioned in my deleated post, Ide give your LDS a chance to sell at 15% over their price if you dont have to travel too far.

Did you read the entire post? He also added a "p/s: recommendations of reliable online sale of dive gear is much appreciated." that calls for general input.
