I have been meaning to try this. Im wondering about lighting though. Is everything going to come out green without lights? Maybe I can mount my C8 light to the camera, that might help. Also thinking of night video.
Any tips here would shorten the learning curve a lot.
Thanks in advance!

In the daytime you will need either a red filter or lights. Without them it will look green. For night time you'll need lights.

A red filter, Hummm? OK. Thanks. Any other tips out there?

Hello Wildcard,
I posted you a link to some of my recent shots taken using an Oly C-7070.It may give you an idea of what to expect from the 7060.

http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=141738

These are out of the camera shots using no filters. Most are blue cast, the high 400 ASA shots are better but grainy. Most of the shots taken at 20 -30 meters in natural light.
The colour was better in the point and shoot cams using filters in our group. The Oly was far better in low light. In fact I was the only guy getting shots in those conditions!

Check out this site for filters - maybe mail Alex and ask how well they will work with video clips http://www.magic-filters.com/

Thanks for the clips. I was thinking it would be smoother? than that. 7070 shoots at 30 frames per sec?
Just went and got the stuff to make a twin light holder to try it.

Another thing i forgot is that "photobucket" alters the files in some way as it stores them. My .mov files look loads better than those stored under heavy comp.

What file type is the 5060 vids. Few in my dive group could play mine! I am looking for a converter to share the vids. Also Its a hard file format for me to edit. Most low end editing progs cant work on .mov,s.
