So does anyone know of any sites that have good pointers on shooting underwater video?
Seems that expirience is the best teacher, but there has to be some good pointers that could help people that are new to this hobby to shoot better a little faster instead of missing some good ops cause they did something silly.
I've read a few different things, plus talking to the guys at my local dive shop.
have good bouyancey/breathing control!!!!!
set focus to manual and try to set it up on the boat.
lead in and lead out of shots.
try not to move to much so you don't get a lot of shaking
don't move the camera fast(try to have fluid(har har har!!) motion)
use the color filter.
learn to use white balance if your camera and housing supports it.
My first exp in the hobby was when I went to fiji. needless to say, the first few days my footage wasn't that great...but by the end of the trip, I had some decent stuff.
