I had so much trouble today shooting a bag when being neutral. Now I dont want to use my back up to add air. The way I was doing it was exhaust from my reg but i couldnt seem to get it into the bag. Can someone give me a few tip or something that i can use. I saw a Blowgun that also attached to your drysuit, has anyone ever heard of this??
Thanks Thatcher

I'd recommend watching the bag blowing video on the 5thd-x Intro to Tech DVD. ;)

Is the problem staying neutral or shooting the bag? How is your trim and bouyancy? If you do not have a stable platform to start it'll just roll dowhill from there.

Find a teacher and get some real training Crash.

Glad to see you have the ability to read.

One trick to stay neutral is to empty your BC into the bag with the inflator hose, then top off the bag to the % according to depth and after release top off the BC.

You don't like Fire_Divers signature or something? Seems like an unprovoked attack...

When you're ready to inflate the bag, look up while exhaling into the bag--this lets you see whether the bubbles are going into the bag and helps you aim them right into it. Be prepared to suddenly become more buoyant as you take the next inhale, you may need to dump some air from your BC between breaths or at least after a couple breaths.

Mainly, this skill takes practice. Just keep doing it.

I use this same technique. It will allow you time to get sorted out without a change in buoyancy.
