shipwreck website
Hey, check out this new shipwreck website: http://www.shipwreckcentral.com It's a database of shipwrecks worldwide. They have produced tv shows where they dive for shipwrecks and have made the footage available online for free. They also have an Interactive Shipwreck Map that shows the location of all the shipwrecks in their database (which they're still building, and encourage contributions). There's a profile for each shipwreck with the history, specifications, images and video of the shipwreck. There's a forum, and also a “Live from the Dive” section, where the dive team logs the events of each dive. This is great for anyone interested in diving shipwrecks, and is very educational.

Awesome site. Thanks for posting it. It was a little difficult zeroing in on Lake Michigan wrecks, but I found some with great write-ups. Cool.

If you go over to the left you can click on "water body" then "search" and it makes it a little quicker

Nice find, excellent site! Thanks

Im not sure if their plotting is out or if the land drawn is out but all my wrecks ive checked are half a mile or more south of their real location relative to the land.
I was quite distressed to see one of my favourite wrecks appears to be 2 miles inland.

Just out of curiosity I checked our wrecks and to be honest at least half of them are not listed, including the world's biggest maritime tradegy - German liner Goya - 7 thousand people died on this ship when they were attacked by Russian submarine in 1945.
You can check this site and compare:

But anyway I think the site is OK - at least it gives some information.
