Shipping/Receiving Associate for Growing UW Photography Store
Operating for 12 years, Optical Ocean Sales, LLC, located in Seattle, WA USA, is a world-wide leading provider of retail underwater photography equipment and is looking for a motivated, self-starting individual with a passion for diving and photography to help it grow further.
We are a retail seller of cameras, housings, lighting and accessories to a diverse, world-wide customer base of scuba divers; in our retail store, via phone orders, and online through our website. We also lead underwater photography expeditions all over the world.
While we will provide training, the successful applicant will have:
• Good computer and writing skills (Windows).
• Quickbooks and web ecommerce systems experience.
• An interest and passion for scuba diving and photography
• Detail-oriented, personable with customers and maintain a professional appearance.
Currently we need a person in the afternoons to do shipping and receiving of approximately 2-8 orders a day. The position requires work with Quickbooks on inventory systems, pricing, website updates and content. As we are a small business, we also all help customers with sales and support. We wear a lot of hats, which means your work environment is never boring!
Optical Ocean Sales is centrally located on beautiful Lake Union in Seattle, with bus access and parking.
The position is full time approximately 30-32 hours a week, up to 35-40 hours at times. You will need to be available to work at least one Saturday afternoon a month. Some flexibility in hours is available, but generally you must be available in the afternoons for about 6 hours a day.
We offer our employees the ability to purchase discounted equipment from our many vendors through Key Man programs and company discounts. Some demo equipment is also available.
Pay depends on experience and abilities with a review after a 90 day probationary period. There is paid sick leave and after a year, one week paid vacation. Hours can be flexible with notice and approval.
