I'd vote Sherwood. You brought up the conservative thing... There is a huge difference in allowable bottom time - and with the RGBM model, if you ever do a reverse profile, or a deeper dive after a shallower one - they really knock back your allowable time. I also like the sherwood for size of display... the numbers are easier for my older eyes to see.
The Aeris AI is the other one I'd look at - really the same as the sherwood - but tilted sideways, and a better display. All of these are in about a 500 price range - so just find the one that you like the look of the display of, and which algorithm you want to go with. There is also the Suunto does not allow net sales, so I don't know if you are buying local - which one I could get without going gray market might be another consideration.
