Me and my girlfriend have Sherwood Wisdoms.

We were thinking of getting a Sherwood Wisdom PC Download kit. We won't get it for quite a while though, because we just spent alot of our $ for dive equipment.

Anyways.. since the 2 of us have the same computer, can the software recognize 2 different divers?

Another question I have, is the computer software worth it's $130+ price tag? what benefits does it give to the diver?

thanks

My wife and I each have the Wisdom and have installed the software on my notebook and we are able to download both Wisdoms to the one notebook and sort the dives by diver.

The Software will associate the serial number of the Wisdom with a diver in its database.

Thank you for the reply!

Did the software help you? What do you benefit from having the download kit?

It helps with loggin. My hand writing is bad.

I import my logs into Scubase and I cna then attach my photos that we took on the dive. I can include information about the dive site so I can return.

The D/L software recognizes different Wisdom computer by serial number but then also lets you pick the diver profile where you want the dives to go. Then you can just select any new dives and update the logs.

I also have two Wisdoms. It is nice to have the download kit but I really don't think it is worth the money.

Here is the problem hopefully one of you that use the download kit can answer my question. I have logged 46 dives on my sherwood wisdom some were in late 2003 I just got the download kit and it would only log the dives from Jan 9th to present so 13 dives before the 9th of Janurary did not show up after the download.
So question is is there a limit to how many dives are stored for download?

Did I do something wrong?
is there a bug in my particular version of software?

I tried it a couple of times and it still didnt read those dives I also reset the date to 2003 and it still didnt see those dives Any answers or help will be greatly appreaciated.

You can set the Wisdom to sample data every 60 seconds, 30 seconds or 15 seconds. The more frequent the sampling the more memory is required to store each dive. So how many dives can be stored depends on the sampling rate and the lenght of the dives. Nitrox dives also have more data that is stored so using the computer in "nitrox" mode rather than "air" mode will further reduce the number of dives that can be stored.

All things considered with 60 second sampling (the default I think) and average lenght dives with a mix of nitrox and air, you can expect around 50 dives to be saved so 46 dives sounds like a pretty normal number of dives.

Thank you for your Answer I'm a nitrox diver so that probably explains it plus I have the sampling rate set on 15 so I guess those 13 dives that I didnt get or just good memories. I have the software now so I will download more often now.

Can you please send me a image of what your software program looks like? was it also worth the money?
