I would suggest that anyone and everyone who owns and SR2 take it back to a reputable service dealer and have them check the intermediate pressures. They come high from the factory (145 to 160) with 2 shims. The shims are there to help bring pressure down when the spring begins to elongate after use. The main problem is that after the shims are out to bring IP down to acceptable (below) 150, there is nothing more you can do. This IS a real problem and will ultimately cause your second stage to free flow at some point. Sherwood needs to either address a faulty spring problem or valve seat problem.
