I have a Maximus and was wondering about the two adjustment knobs...

I understand that one is the Venturi assist, and the other is a craking adjustment. So in what types of situations do you use them???

Thanks in advance for the help :D ...

I've never noticed any difference using the Venturi assist in any regulator. The cracking adjustment can be adjusted at any time to provide easier breathing, or prevent free flows. I use it to maintain optimum breathing ease between services.

Thanks for the reply, I have only used the cracking adjustment when I fist put air to the reg. I have it all the way open (so that it hisses) then close it just enough to stop the hissing. I have tried messing with the Venturi underwater but could not notice a difference either. Maybe I have not been deep enough for it to matter. I am not sure, which is why I posted the question. Thanks again....
