Just getting back in to scuba, and wanted to see if you folks think a Sherwood G250/MK20 Ultralight combo would be worth $100 or so. Are parts available and can they still be serviced?

I'm going to take a 2nd look at some used equipment. They also have an XLP/XL combo for about the same price, but they seem tougher to find parts for and probably a bit older.

I think I read that the MK20 had a recall. Did that affect the ultralights also?

Thanks

That would be scubapro not sherwood and if its in decent condition $100 is a steal. I'm not up on all the recalls, but it should be easy enough to look up.

I agree, that is a good price on those. The G250 could be sold for 100 on its own. Be sure to have both regs serviced by a Scubapro shop prior to use. If the MK20 has not been corrected for the recall, the shop will do it for free.

... and I'm spent...

Yeah, it was Scubapro, not Sherwood. I don't know why that stuck in my head. In any case, here is the haul (please excuse the dismal photos from my cell phone)...

G250/MK20 Ultra light, Scubapro Eclipse snorkel and an Atomic mask - $114 out the door for all of it

2nd stage. Has some scuffs, but no big deal. It holds vacuum when I inhale and the 1st stage is capped, and exhales normally so the diaphram is not too jacked up.

1st stage. What's the dealio with the Ultra light designation?

I guess this is the serial #

What connector is this?

I think this one is for an Air II. They had a BC there with an Air II on it and it seemed to plug in. I'm not sure if I want an integrated one or a regular octo. I think I can get the BC (I think it was a kniighthawk, but it's too small for me) for about $100

I need some sort of oct, and a console and I'm in happy land! Then I'm off to find a BC and fins

Now I just need to find a wet place here in the middle of the desert. :sigh:

Yes, just the 250 is worth the 100 bucks just by itself....well done on that deal.

The connector you ask about, is that on the end of a high pressure hose? At any rate, it looks like whatever it was removed from it was done improperly. I think that is either part of the assembly if was removed from and/or the jam nut that holds it in place.
