I currently have a Sherwood Freedom that I am moderately happy with. I find it a bit short and it tends to ride up on dives. Has anyone compared the Freedom to a Recon and would they suggest the upgrade. Most of my time is spend with shore dives, but I am planning on investigating twins for some wreck dives in about 45m.

i have usd the genesis recon for close to a year. a good group of the guys i dive with have this bc and swear by it. so fsar i have been very pleased and would really reconmend it. i have the recon with 75lbs lift and have used it to dive as deep as 40 meters and have never had a problem mainly dive lake michigan with temps ranging from 35F to 60f

I have a Recon with the optional backplate. It is quite comfortable and stays put without a crotch strap. have had mine a few years and have had no problems other than a problem with a sticky dump valve that had in fact been recalled. You will need the backplate for doubles and it runs around $180 but does include a single tank adapter.

I have the Sherwood version of the Recon (Outback) and I love it. No problems with it and it was adjustable enough to give me a good fit. I don't think you can go wrong with the Recon.
