Sherwood BC dump vavle

Last night I pulled the rear dump valve on my bc, and the ball that you grab came off.

Does anybody know where I can get a replacement?

I assume that the string pulled out of the ball. The pull balls on many of the Sherwood bc's have a pressed in cap that can be pried out with a small screw driver. Then thread the string through, tie a knot that won't pull through, and put the cap back.

A Sherwood dealer would be a good bet.

I wasn't expecting it to come off, so I lost in in 4' visibility with a strong current. I emailed Sherwood because I won't be able to make it to the dive shop for a week or so.

A pingpong ball maybe? Poke a couple holes in it and feed the string through. Probably cheaper than the plastic ball they'll sell you.
