Another question. I am researching equipment before I buy. The LDS close to where I live carries Mares products. I am considering using the shop at the quarry where I will be doing most of my diving. They carry and service Tusa and Sherwood. Most of my dives will be in quarry water with hopefully at least one trip to warmer waters each year for a few dives. Are these reliable? I am trying to stick to the advice of using someone local for service.

:D Thrilled to be diving!!!

Sherwoods are bulletproof, and an excellent regulator. I'm unfamiliar with the Tusas, though. You won't go wrong with Sherwood.

We both dive Sherwood Blizzards, they'll let you do anyhting you and at home and they'll be happy on vacation too. Simple, affordable, very reliable and since they are the darling of the rental industry servicable almost anyplace should something crop up.
