OK so I have posted here a couple of times about being tired of the limited SHORE dive options we have here in Southern Ontario. I am too cheap to pay for charters every weekend. Most of my summer is spent in the car driving to and from Wiarton. So what I need to know is...."Is it worth the trip to Sherkston or Windmill Point?" I am interested in hearing from people: anybody with an opinion (where ever will I find one of them? :rofl3:) or even better somebody who can actually compare the diving in Wiarton to Sherkston and Windmill Point.

Is there anybody out there that can compare?

Sherkston is a great dive site from nov to june but between july and early october its like diving in gravy lots of black algie makes vis like 3 feet at best . And in the winter month it is anywere from 75 to 100 ft lots to see from the old mining operation train cars and train engines from the early 1900's

windmill is the same i call it sludgemill vis is the same as sherkston and the time of year ntohing to see tho great training not much of a dive for fun tho

Try the welland canal (rec waterway its called ) vis is better this time of the year usaly between 10 a 20 feet of vis pm for the info if you are interested oh yeah its free lol
