Anybody bend to Sherkston Quarry lately? My buddy and I are thinking of going down there tomorrow. If you been there, what was the vis/temperature?

Thanks in Advance

I haven't been this year but are hoping to swing by there this weekend. If you did get your dive in, let me know how it was. I would love an update. I posted last year looking for info in July but noone seemed to have an answer for me. Our dive didn't pan out tho so it was no biggie. Unfortunate you didn't get an aswer either :( .

Unfortunately we could not make the dive this week. We may go Wed. next week. Let me know how the vis was if you do go.

WOW --- Sherkston Quarry!!!

I spent a couple of years up in Buffalo, NY, over 30 years ago, and we used to drive up to the quarry to go swimming. I don't believe there was any diving at the time. I seem to remember one side having a sheer wall of rock, and a shore on the opposite side. At the time, it also had a few diving platforms (diving diving, as opposed to scuba diving), set at two or three different heights.

This thread is the *first* time I've seen mention of the quarry in 30 years...

I used to wear a beautiful hunk of marbled turqoise around my neck, on a length of rawhide, that I found, polished, and set myself in Arizona. Lost it doing flips off that sheer wall into the quarry... So, if any of y'all happen to find it at the bottom of that wall, let me know! ;)

There has been active diving there since the 50's . but at that time it was a brail dive all the time but if you necklas is under allot of silt but will keep my eyes open
