Afternoon,

Did a couple of dives with my new Peregrine last weekend. Finally a screen I can Read!!!!

Noticed both dives that when I turned on the gas my Swift transmitter showed full battery charge on the Peregrine but within a few minutes the battery indicator showed 50% or less battery remaining and stayed that way throughout each dive.

The transmitter and Peregrine are brand new, straight from Canada this past January, these were the first two dives I have made with them and max depth on the dives was 20 feet.

Anyone else experience this?

Is this something I should consider for warranty repair?

Thanks for your thoughts.

what type of batteries are you using..

Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA Batteries 1.5V Lithium Double A Batteries these work pretty good for me..

Are you talking about the peregrine battery or the swift battery?

Sounds like the transmitters batteries

OP, did you get fresh batteries for the transmitters when they shipped?
Slim chance they might have been shelved a while and lost lots of their capacity 🤷🏽‍♀️
(Wouldn’t explain the full to 50% drop pn both dives tho)

In case you mean the Peregrine battery itself, sounds serious — get in touch with SW right away

Sounds the opposite to me which is why I asked, not clear at all at least not to me.

I’m also unsure which (the gas thing sways me a bit lore to the Tx)😅
regardless the resulting options are:
Transmitters > try fresh batteries
Computer > activate that warranty/ customer service help line

Please clarify which battery you are talking bout; the one in the transmitter, or the one in the Peregrine. they have different displays.

The display for the transmitter looks like this; it is embedded in an alternating display of the cylinder pressure. It NEVER say or shows "half" just Low or Critical. If it doesn't show, the battery in the transmitter is fine.

A different display shows while diving only when the voltage is low.
The display for the Peregrine looks like this:\
It also never says "half" and if the voltage were really only half I doubt the computer would still be working.

Before diving the battery icon is this inless the batter is low or critical.

So, OP, tells again what you are seeing before you turn on your transmitter (presumably by turing on your cylinder). I presume it is the last icon above, the verical blue one? And then that turns to yellow when you turn on your gas?
That probably means your Peregrine charge is right on the edge of OK and Low...and needs to be charged before use.

To clarify, it is indeed the transmitter battery level that drops.

The indicator for t1 show the battery icon full shading on startup and then only half shading after a few minutes.

If i hazard a guess total on time (gas on), including farting around getting my gear together for each dive was less than 2 hrs

The shading is tank pressure not battery life. It doesn’t show a transmitter battery gauge. Only yellow & red alerts when the transmitter battery life drops.
