What's going on with the shearwater swift availability? I am in need of one. Given the fact that the teric is compatible with a few different transmitters... which is the best transmitter if I can't find a swift?

From DGX’s website:

I forget the designation, but any transmitter that works with an AquaLung or Oceanic computer will be compatible with a Shearwater computer.

Look here for a used transmitter. I see one Swift for sale, from a quick glance.

And Scuba.com (the former LeisurePro) has AL transmitters in stock.

Trying to do some research to see if one is more reliable over another...etc...

The original Shearwater transmitters were exactly like that AL one I linked to. I’m still using two of that type (couple years old) and one Swift. Can’t tell the difference. They work the same.

You need one in two weeks? Order the AL branded one from Scuba.com
