We saw some odd behaviour the other night in Bonaire. We often see a solitary sharptail eel out hunting at night. But we have never seen a bunch of them all piled together. I counted 10 in one of my pics.
So what ARE they doing?
They do not have booze or drugs or rock & roll, so my divebuddy says this is either about food or sex. We did not see any of them eating anything...so this must be some sort of mating behaviour?
Any ideas?
