Why are there not many shark sittings in West Coast Bonaire?

I have dive Bonaire shores more than 60 times and never seeing one shark. Dive Kline Bonaire South side and have gown down to 100ft in some sites. Never seeing a shark, not even a nurse shark given the health of the reefs .

Neither did I. Not even a Nurse Shark.

There was a small cavern at Ebo's Special that almost always had a nurse shark in it. None there last June. Occasional nurses elsewhere, usually swimming. Also Caribbean Reefs in the shallows on the south side of Klein, occasionally elsewhere.

I have nearly 400 dives in Bonaire. I have seen one reef shark at Country Garden in December 2023. I have seen a couple nurse sharks. Most of my dives are in the west and off Klein Bonaire, only a few in the east. My wife swears she saw a couple of reef sharks off the south side of Klein Bonaire several years ago, I did not see them.

I'm going to try again in a couple weeks.

Good point. I've seen them on the east side with Bonaire East Coast Diving.

If you go to 10:05 in my old 2013 trip video, you'll see a shot of a nice nurse shark......although it was on the East side.
