Larry, did you find thinking and writing like a teenager mentally straining? I know it was hard for me to read, although entertaining... :D

I can write at any intellectual level you like. Provided it does not exceed that of a retarded dung beetle.

nice. I like somebody showing sharks NOT as man eaters...... Softer side and all that.

ZenDiver - long time and all that. I was thinking about reviving my mouse thread to cover my recent experiences in Saudi Arabia and India. I have a whole wealth of stuff just as weird as went on in Libya.

Here's a sample conversation from Chennai (Madras) I put up on facebook: -

So the restaurant I go to for lunch has put up a menu advertising cold cuts for sale. Ham is not easy to get here and I’ve a hankering for some salami, pepperoni, Parma ham and Coppa Parma. All are on the list, and the conversation with the... guy at the counter goes like this: -

100 grams of items 1, 3, 5 and 8, please.

We don’t keep them here, they are in the kitchen, let me call and see what is in stock.

No problem, I’ll wait.

*Interlude*

Sorry, sir, some of the items you requested are not available.

Which ones?

The salami, pepperoni and the two types of ham.

So, all of them?

Yes sir.

Do you have anything at all?

Of course, sir. We have chicken.

OK, never mind. Hang on, do you have cheese?

Certainly sir, we have over 30 different cheeses from all over the world!

Brilliant. 200 grams of brie, same of cheddar, and same again of camembert.

Perfect sir, what cheese would you like?

Um, OK, I’ll just write it all down and you can go to the kitchen and check.

Most excellent, sir.

*Interlude*

Sir, not all of the cheeses are in stock right now.

Fair enough, what have you got?

Sir, we have gouda.
