Whale Expert Guest Speaker
Since 2011, Steve O’Toole has served on the board of Orange County Chapter of the American Cetacean Society. He leads the Society’s on-board whale watch Naturalist program and outreach events. Prior to working with ACS, Steve’s background includes working with the California Coastal Commission relating to habitat restoration projects; Lead Naturalist for Maui’s Pacific Whale Foundation and student service-learning projects that focus on hands-on science activities tied to community needs. Other projects include Sea Turtle nest monitoring, coral reef alliance projects, and a guest host at several aquariums and school classrooms. Steve is a certified diver, but strictly recreational; perhaps he’ll learn something from us tonight!
As always we meet in the evening on the second Tuesday of each month at Graziano’s Italian Restaurant in Yorba Linda.
