Shark Week 2006

Shark week would be great if it wasn't the same exact thing every show. The discovery channel needs to discover that there are more than 10 species of sharks, and that people really are interested in the others too. Where are shows that have more than glimpses of leopard sharks? Megamouths? Whale Sharks? Angel Shark? etc.

Most importantly, where are the shows on Sharks' Teeth?!?!

There was one on the other night called "Sharks of America", (I believe) they showed footage of Venice and interviewed Steve Thacker about megs and fossil teeth

The mythbusters episode was from last year, when they hosted shark week. Now the giand squid show that was on on Saturday night was really cool.

You guys keep talking about reruns, but I saw no fewer than 3 hours of 2006 production every night. They usually started off with reruns from previous years, then started the new programming at 8 or so, then went back to reruns at around 11.

I haven't had a chance to watch the Mythbusters shows from this week, but I don't think they were the same ones they ran last year. Both episodes were marked with a 2006 release date on my TiVo guide.

That it was! Wish they had some video footate instead of just stills, but what a great set of pics! And the story of how he found the spot...incredible!

Like I said, I haven't watched the Mythbusters episodes yet, but not really sure why my TiVo is telling me they were a 2006 production...hmmmm.....

We are getting ready to do some more stuff that will be on TV. Maybe the end of the year.

All you need is full body armor, saftey cable systems and a little bit of intestinal fortitude and you can go home with a pic of you hugging a man size squid.

No, not a real giant squid dive......yet.....

The Giant Squid show was certainly better than much of the reruns during Shark Week.
